Mike’s Express carries a wide variety of fuel filters for our customers. The frequency of changing a fuel filter all depends on the vehicle you drive, gas/diesel, and the fuel you use. It could vary from every other oil change to once every 25,000 miles.
What does my fuel filter do?
The fuel filter’s job is to trap little pieces of junk that get sucked out of the gas tank. When it gets old and saturated, one of two things can happen: the flow of fuel will be blocked and the car will stop running, or the filter will start to disintegrate and let some of the junk though. That’s bad news, because fuel injectors are very sensitive to junk and very expensive to replace or repair. So don’t leave it to chance.
There is no cost to check your fuel filter and it is well worth the time and money.
